Students vote for the most important, influential, or prominent people in American history. Students draw for nomination order and formally nominate a person of their choice by persuasive speech advocating for that person's inclusion. Students are given a number of votes equal to 66% of the total number of students in the class and they may use that number of votes to vote for as many or few of the nominees as they wish. In order to make it in the Hall, a nominated figure needs the same number of votes - equal to 66% of the total number of students in the class.
